Locked and Loaded

Hey there! Welcome to my brand new blog. I'm so excited to share my thoughts, experiences, and stories with you. Although I wasn't able to capture my previous blog posts, starting fresh is always a great opportunity to begin anew.

So many of you know me for my highly detailed realistic still life paintings. Some of you that are new to my work know me for my most recent resin pieces. I've reached a point in my life where anything goes! And as the title of my blog suggests, I refuse to be painted into a corner! I will be moving forward with new mediums, new subject matter. Realistic still life, landscapes, florals, resin work, animals, and the occasional pet portrait!

So, what can you expect from this blog? Well, a little bit of everything, really. I'll be sharing my works in progress, finished pieces, other artists work, my favourite supplies, etc. Heck, let's also talk about what good books you've read lately, what movies or binge worthy shows you've watched. How about your favourite snack? Nothing is off limits. I will also be delving into personal stories and experiences that have shaped who I am today, from my oldest memories to what has informed my work the last few years.

One thing you can count on is that I will be real and authentic. I will share what makes me tick, what scares me, what fills me with joy, what I am grateful for, and what makes me go hmmmm?

I want to hear from you! I would love for this blog to become a place for open communication, especially when it comes to all things art. But really, no subject (within reason) is off limits. So let's talk! (Update: This built in Blog doesn't come with comments, when I figure out how to include that we'll be able to chat!)

I'm not going to guarantee a regular posting schedule, but my goal is to add something new and fresh on a regular basis. I would also love to hear ideas on what you would like to discuss!

Building this new website (hopefully the last one!) has been daunting...but also exciting. I hope you check in now and then to see what's up!
